A special education advocate is your expert partner in the IEP process. We:
- Review your child's records, evaluations, and current IEP or 504 plan
- Help you request the right evaluations and services in writing
- Prepare you for IEP and ARD meetings, and attend them with you
- Translate the jargon (FAPE, LRE, Child Find, prior written notice) into plain language
- Hold the school accountable to your child's rights under IDEA
- Support challenging behavior: FBAs, behavior intervention plans, discipline, and manifestation determination reviews (a special focus of ours)
