Special Education Advocacy for Families

You Don't Have to Face the School Alone

We help parents nationwide understand their rights, prepare for IEP and ARD meetings, and get the services their child is owed.

Start with a short intake so I can understand your situation before we talk.

Alan Driggers, special education advocate.

Alan Driggers  Special Education Advocate

Former special education teacher and campus leader, with a focus on behavior support. M.Ed. Special Education & Educational Leadership.

Founded by a former special education teacher and campus leader who has sat on the school's side of the table, and now uses that insider knowledge for your child.

What is a Special Education Advocate?

A special education advocate is your expert partner in the IEP process. We:

  • Review your child's records, evaluations, and current IEP or 504 plan
  • Help you request the right evaluations and services in writing
  • Prepare you for IEP and ARD meetings, and attend them with you
  • Translate the jargon (FAPE, LRE, Child Find, prior written notice) into plain language
  • Hold the school accountable to your child's rights under IDEA
  • Support challenging behavior: FBAs, behavior intervention plans, discipline, and manifestation determination reviews (a special focus of ours)

Unlike an attorney, we focus on getting services in place, not litigation.

Why Trust The IEP Coach

Alan Driggers, special education advocate.

Led by Alan Driggers, a special education advocate who was a special education teacher specializing in behavior and a campus leader, with master's degrees in special education and educational leadership.

Alan has sat on the school's side of the IEP table, so he knows exactly how districts think, and how to get results for your child. His focus on behavior support means real help with functional behavior assessments (FBAs), behavior intervention plans, discipline, and manifestation determination reviews.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work in my state?

Yes, we support families nationwide through virtual meetings. IDEA is a federal law, so every state and every school district that accepts federal education funding must follow it.

Is a special education advocate the same as a lawyer?

No. We focus on getting services in place collaboratively, not litigation.

How do we get started?

Complete a short intake form, then we'll schedule your consultation.

What if my child was denied services?

That's exactly when to reach out, we help you request evaluations and challenge denials. If the plan is on paper but the school not following your child's IEP, that is also a case we work.
